When was the last time you took a long hard look at how much money you are spending in a month?
It can be a real eye opener indeed. My first time was when I went bankrupt. Don’t let that be your first time.
I do free programs in the community and this week I did the Create a Budget workshop. The task of just writing down what it is that you spend in a month can be a harrowing experience. But as anyone who tracks spending knows, it is liberating to gain control of your spending and to know your numbers.
